What is the ATI TEAS score range?

The TEAS score ranges from Developmental to Exemplary:

  • Developmental: 0.0% to 40.0%

  • Basic score: 40.7% to 58.0%

  • Proficient: 58.7% to 79.3%

  • Advanced: 80.0% to 91.3%

  • Exemplary: 92.0% to 100.0%

  • The Developmental and Basic scores mean that you are likely not prepared enough to learn health and science-related content. For most schools, these scores are not admissible.

You likely need to review all the material again and attempt the TEAS at a later date.

  • The Proficient score means that you are moderately prepared, but you still need to work in certain areas. Usually, schools require nursing program candidates to fall within this category to be considered for admission. Keep in mind that, even though this score is favorable, there is still plenty of room to improve.

However, if you achieve this, you have proven not only your capability to understand and utilize an array of concepts but also your potential.

  • The Advanced and Exemplary scores mean that you are entirely prepared for nursing school. These are the scores required for the most competitive nursing programs. They show that you master most aspects of the knowledge needed to enter into a healthcare program.
